As the number of urban 4x4’s increases it begs the question: do we actually need them?

Otherwise known as the ‘Chelsea Tractor’, the 4x4 is a vehicle that is increasing in popularity. Renowned for its luxury and innovative interior it can be tailored with a variety of customised fixtures and fittings. Due to its power and high ground clearance it is marketed as the ideal off-road vehicle that is also suitable for the urban environment, and is able to offer a high level of safety. This situation is not helped by the imminent influx of American Hummers and new luxury vehicles that are unable to navigate the smaller roads and consequentially cause congestion.
